Just thought I'd pop on quickly and let you know (i'm supposed to be working *cough*) that someone has stolen all (about 50) leather saddles and bridles from a yard in the West Wickham (Surrey) area. They broke in (I'm guessing last night) removed it all, dumped the synthetics in one of the fields and took all the leathers. Police have been in to fingerprint and are dealing with it, they say they were probably professionals.
Most annoyingly the yard had signed up for the identification saddle marking scheme and had booked in for tomorrow, the police were supposed to be coming and marking all the saddles
Also after that they were having a fundraising show and bbq but now only about 4 people can ride
Grr these people make me angry!!!
Not sure if it will apply to any other yards in the area but just as a precuation, thought I'd let you guys know. Also a reminder to check your security measures and keep insured x
