Warning to all in Colchester Area

I got this text last night, not sure if anyone is aware of it or its rubbish but thought that I'd pass it on.

Two Eastern looking men are believed to be in the Elstead Market area in a white van going to yards and taking pictures of the horses. The vans reg no is N253 X** ( I do have the full no, pm me if you want it). There is also a red Land Cruiser doing the same. Keep your eyes peeled around your yard plus at shows. It is thought that the horses photos will make up a catalogue and they will be stolen to order.

hi I think everyone who has a horse has had this text across the country.

Not sure if it is a valid concern, but the registration is legitimate (had look on DVLA website)

I've just seen the post below with almost identical wording for suffolk, think that your right.

I said on the other thread, either these people are very busy or its a text suffering from Chinese whispers

Flippin' 'eck, they get around! According to the Hampshire Horsewatch bulletin, they were DEFINITELY seen in Chilworth (just outside Southampton) yesterday . . .

I'm in Oxfordshire and I had a call from Horsewatch about an hour ago with exactly the same thing, 2 men + white van taking photos. They also said to phone the police if we spotted anything.
