Well after all the snow I was expecting my 4yo to be manic. The first ride after 2 weeks off the plodded around the hack like a retired 24yo (I know call her the ploddy pony). The snow seems to have chilled her out an awful lot. She is growing in confidence hacking, she marches through fords and passes waterfall fine (Cascades at Burghley won't be a problem

). Her dressage has suddely clicked, she is using herself properly and her canter, which is her weakest has improved leaps and bounds. This evening I had a jumping lessons and I'm still on a high. Only small grids but she had the mentality of a 7 year old horse, she was just great.
Last night I registerd her with BE and now I can't wait to get out xc with her.
Here's hoping 2010 will be much better than 2009 was, what with moving yards, selling two ponies, losing the ride of my old mare and losing some very special pets.
Garlic slices and tortellini if you get this far

(I've just read the post back and realise I sound an absolute mad woman
