Today i had a phone call from my YO to say that my horse has done something very stupid.

He got his nose caught on one of his water bucket clips and it went right though his nostril, he panicked and jumped over the stable door (on a cracked splint bone) Not good!!

My vert says she sees it all the time! So a warning to anyone who uses clips like this. DONT USE THEM!! or if you do have them tape them shut. I deffinately wont be using anything like them again

I've seen it happen to a neighbours horse (without the jumping stable door). It looked terrible but healed very well.
Vibes your horse is much better soon.

My old horse did this, I found her standing with the bucket hanging from her nostril

She had a pierced nose for a few weeks but it healed up fine.
