My yearling filly has warts on her muzzle more coming every day. Some are tiny and one is similar in size and shape to a jelly tot!! She did have one on her face and one near her eye but she rubbed themoff and they haven't returned. I've read that youngsters can get them due to a reduced immune system, but is it worth trying to treat them, are so unsightly if so with what? Or should i just leave well alone.
 
Sounds like grass warts to me.

I know they are ugly but just leave them alone and they will fall off on their own. If you apply any lotions the chances are that it will only aggraviate (sp) them.

One of my youngsters had them all over his muzzle bless him, they all went within about 2 months.

Young horses often get hundreds of juvenile warts. You don't need to do anything as they are harmless and will disappear like magic as the youngster's immune system develops.
 
I agree with everyone else, leave them alone. My 4year-old NF got some last summer around her nostrils and on her upper thigh, under her tail. I read about them and the book said they will usually disappear within 3-4months, which they did. If they were on an older horse or stayed for a long time then you might want a vet to look at them, otherwise just be patient and resist any temptation to do anything with them.
