Probably!! Its coming up to winter, not so many comps to go to and Ive seen it before.

I worked at an event yard and saw ALOT of 'grooms' disappear overnight. One went of the night/morning before an event where the lorry was full (6 horse lorry) ONE person had to do all 6 horses that day, thankfully (sort of) the weather/ground was awful so riders withdrew!!

Another went without anyone noticing, 5 of us between 2 mobile 'holes'

my day off, I was having a lie in...woke up at 8am to hear horses going nuts and feed buckets clattering..Oh its late, i thought...turns out the girl who left was supposed to feed the horses that morning......well we discovered an empty room and no car

It happens. Mind you we were being paid £50 a week and worked on average 14 hours a day. And I had gone 14 days straight without a day off, the joys of working with horses.
