Somebody else mentioned that but hes been lunged/loose schooled with it on and its never bothered him plus i had been riding for 20 mins prior to that.
Looks like he was feeing a bit fresh, even some of the complete dopes on the yard have been like that this week.
Only tips I would have for you is to bend your elbows, and sit deeper. Possible notch your stirrups down a bit? Will help with getting a deeper more secure seat.
all looked a bit hurried before the "incident", try and keep a slower rythm. doubt it was your riding, just looked like a cheeky horse moment. How old is your horse? How long have you been riding him?
Well im in no position to be giving anyone advice on thier riding, but im sure it was nothing to do with you.
I do hope you got straight back on though or he will know in future the quickest was to get out of working is to do that again!
I think he was just taking the pee. He was trying to break into canter earlier, cantering is easier than trotting nicely! If he does it again really don't get off after!
Apologies having watched it again horse does look lame.Dont worry about it, i still find it difficult to spot lameness and even harder to "feel".Dont give up on him though!!
i think he looks unlevel coz he was trying to jump into canter and the video is abit jumpy. he looks fine in some parts of the video but i couldnt tell without seeing him in the flesh
He looks very fresh and tense to me and you look like your arms are braced against him. I also wondered if he was lame but perhaps thought it was just him pulling hard and fighting to go faster.
Assuming he's sound I'd say he just needs you to be a bit more confident, trust that he won't run away if you relax your arms, and work him harder - lots of circles, changes of rein etc in trot to get him to focus on you, burn some of that excess energy, relax and soften.
No!...Don't give up...how will you improve if you don't keep at it!
I thought you riding was ok...but I am no expert but if you enjoy riding then don't give up
