Was the elderly eventer wearing an Air Jacket?

Not sure, but according to posts in CR he may have been unconscious prior to approaching the fence. Really hope he pulls through - my thoughts are with him and his family.
 
I don't think anything like that would have made any difference whatsoever to be honest. It wouldn't have prevented the broken neck that was sustained in this fall. Horrible incident but is a sad reminder of how life can change in a split second. I just hope he pulls through.
