Bought a fleece rug off someone & it's in perfect condition but needs a clean. How do you wash yours, other than putting them in the washing machine?

I wash mine in the washing machine, put it in a spare cover from your bed. Another would to hand wash it and it not so big and bulky worth a try if the machine is a no no.
