Put the name in the title in case anyone else is wondering.
with synthetic brushes I used hot water and washing up liquid

Is there a “proper” way to wash natural fibre brushes?
thanks in advance!

I just washed mine in warm soapy water using horse shampoo. Brushed them against each other in the bowl to get the dirt out and they came up really nicely.

I wouldn't want to put them in the machine as while I think the bristles would be OK, the varnished backs may not cope.

Ah ok so warm (not hot) and a milder shampoo. Brill.
The reason I ask is I’ve managed to melt brushes before so I’m Sure I’d find a way to ruin these....

I would think synthetic brushes would be more vulnerable to melting as nylon will melt where natural fibres would not but still be careful.

Yes, you wouldn’t melt the bristles, but depending how they’re made you might melt any glue holding them in if the water is too hot!

I washed mine in warm water with wool wash liquid and come up fine but the gold lettering came off one of them. I e mailed equiclusive eho I hit them from and they didn’t want to know,
