Does anyone do it themselves rather than send them away?
I had planned to send them off to the local rug cleaners but realised I have far too many that need a wash and at £20 per rug, it'll break the bank!
What do you use? How do you do it? (Rather not use the washing machine!)

I wait till rug wash Wales do a half price offer, £4 a wash last year. Lightweights and lite mediums are ok in my horsey machine otherwise can you find a yard or kennels with a large machine? Where are you based?

Yes I use a heavy duty clothes rail to jet my rugs off. it is way cheaper to do it myself.

I bought a Samsung washing machine that can take a 12kg load. Can get even the biggest thickest turnouts in it. But it cost over £800. But as I wash livery rugs in it too, it has more than paid for itself. I have a separate washing machine for household washing that was loads cheaper!
