Washing stinky stable rug in machine at home?

When my step mum was away I would wash my pissy stable rug and stable boots in her washing machine. She never knew a thing.
It was done out of spite as I wasn’t allowed to wash my normal clothes with everyone else’s (work clothes, night out dresses etc) because “it stinks of horses”. I had to do my own washing and wait until I had a full load. I didn’t wear day clothes to the horses but apparently it still couldn't be washed with everyone else’s and so I would wash my rugs in her washing machine when she wasn’t there.
