Wat time do you arrive at YHL?

Going to your horse live on Saturday for the first time, really looking forward to it! I was wondering what time do you all aomori to get there for? Is it best to get there as near at 9am as you can to make the most out of it? I'm not too bothered about watching any of the displays reall, just want to shop and talk to some companies about feed etc. it's almost a 2 hour journey for me so I hope it's worth it!
Oh and any tips from people have been before?

we're aiming to get there at 9 so having to leave at 6!!! Can't wait though

I'm going to get there before 9am to get parked as i want to get parked right at the front. Thinking it's going to be wet on field!!

I also want to watch the Carl and Charlotte demo at 10am xx

I aim to get there just before 9 too. On the YHL FB page they warned that on the B4113 through Stoneleigh village they have roadworks with 4-way traffic lights so to allow extra time for your journey.

I come from the other direction, I'm very lucky as it's only less than 10mins from me

I can come from the other direction. I tend to go round but dont have to. Sat nav says its only 1 min more, so ill go that way and avoid stoneleigh.

For those that go every year, how does the parking cope in wet weaher?

Is 4wd advised? I'm going on Sunday and have traction control in my car, but would prefer not to get stuck!

If you have a 4wd id take it!! Its on a slight slope and can get pretty muddy. Ive never been towed out but ive watched others do so.

Always take a 4x4 if you have one in stock! It's a big field which can get quite slippery, but there are lots of tractors waiting to tow you out if you get stuck. I always get there as early as possible as I get ridiculously excited about it, think we'll be leaving at about 7ish! x
