A friend of mine has just had the most horrendous timewaster.
This lady is from the Reading area, is a BD rider, who also has a photography business. She said she was buying a horse and lied twice about sending a cheque for the deposit by recorded mail.
My friend contacted her by email to tell her that she would not sell a horse to someone who lied....however........She then sent a cheque for said horse.
So my friend thought about giving her the benefit of the doubt and put the cheque in the bank, but it BOUNCED!!!!
So...not only has this lady lied, but my friend has lost out on other potential buyers, and to top it off she will now end up with bank charges due to the cheque bouncing!!
To say she is a very angry woman is an understatement, but I thought it worth sharing with people on here as a warning when selling horses.
