Just as the title says really. I went down to the yard last night and sat and watched my horse being ridden in a lesson (can't ride myself due to injured foot).

It was so interesting to watch someone else ride her and to see how she behaves and moves. She was a little darling for the girl riding her and made me proud. Mainly though I was amazed at how lovely she looks, how nice her paces are and just how far she has come since I have owned her.

The only down side is that now I am itching to ride her myself again but know that I have to wait as instead of taking 6 weeks to heal my foot will take alot longer.

Oh well nevermind the sun is shining and tonight I am going to see her again so I am a happy little camper :)

Awwww it's odd isn't it! Same with a lot of the youngsters here, I only usually ride them, so when I do actually put someone else on them, it's so wierd to actually see how they look! I don't appreciate how nice they actually move and look until I'm on the ground watching them bless them.

Hope your foot gets better soon! :D

I remember the first time I let my instructor school Dante - I put it off for ages because he was MY horse and I wanted to be the one to do the work, but I'd explain things he did to her and she said he never -appeared- to be doing anything particularly bad, so I let her school him to feel it herself, and hopefully give him stuff to think about. It was so odd to watch! She got what I meant though and I didn't mind letting her school him after that, or other people riding him, not so much anyway!
It does make you want to ride even more though doesn't it?
