watching crufts?

Anyone else momentarily puzzled as to why samoyeds are in with the pastoral group? :o

I was expecting a lot of rejoicing about the GSD, where are you all? :p

I didnt think it was the Pedigree Dogs thing that made Pedigree pull out MM, they pulled the plug before that I thought? I do remember they packed up their stand and ran halfway through Bournemouth CH show (I think)

I understood it was because they were going down the pan in the pet market and couldnt afford the sponsorship any more? Hence they dont sponsor any eventing any more either

See the thread above, and CC has abandoned me tonight. I was dreading having to deal with abuse from you lot about slopey backed cripples. Oh and BC, the maremma was owned by the woman who is judging at Shropshire County (bit of useful trivia for you, maybe you could congratulate her as she goes over Dax ;)).

You could be right, but certainly none of the other dog food companies wanted to get involved did they?:p

My ears pricked up when I heard 'Shropshire' and I thought it must be the same woman, can't be that many maremmas in the county. I will remember that one! :p

My hopes are up because, if her pedigree is to be believed, Dax has a distant relative in that Rajarani husky. :D
 
well the coverage gets worse! PP said that the flyball would be shown tonight. I've just sat through 2 hours of rubbish (well except for a brief moment of agility) and not even a mention.
bah humbug!
 
There was a huge furore in the samoyed fraternity a few years ago when they went from working to pastoral.
IMO they should be in the working group. Yes, they were used to herd reindeer, but also to haul sleds, scare away wolves (although what self respecting wolfie would run away from my yappy/howly sams?), and to keep people warm at night! Thats the only bit my dogs understand!
