I'm really excited!
I was supposed to be going to the Glasgow one to help, but instead, I had my vet out scanning my 3 year old pony to see if she is pregnant.
The verdict............YES, she IS.
It wasn't planned.....EX yard owner's entire colts got to her.
EX yard owner is of course blatantly denying it, although my filly hasn't left this yard since arriving on 20th May 2011.....and is at LEAST 5 MONTHS pregnant.
Plus point......I used my Dually halter to hold her for the vet, and my baby pony behaved VERY well.
I went to the one at hadlow, its really good but my advice.... Take a rug!! It's excellent but so so cold!!
LittleWildOne, infact I know you're in Edinburgh and I know exactly whos yard you were on.
I'd be seriously worried if your mare is carrying to one of those colts, given the amount of inbreeding and bad breeding management there.
Stallions have been able to jump in and out fields as they please and mothers have become pregnant to their own sons, and stallions have sired foals to their own daughters.
I doubt very much at 5 months that there is anything that can be done now. Which yard are you at now?
