Water containers?

I have a big plastic water container with a screw lid, and it is looking rather mucky inside! How do i get it clean?

I cable-tied (as more secure!) a sponge to the end of a thin-ish broom handle, and stuck it in and scrubbed with that - can be a bit time consuming but gets there!

Only thing I can think of is denture cleaner or may be the baby equipment cleaner.

Try using baby bottle sterilizer and rinse very well, or bicarbonate of soda.

Handful of gravel, some water and shampoo, shake like mad, rinse for the next several hours...

I used a jet wash hose thingy used on the cars.

Another vote for large handful of gravel and either washing up liquid or small amount of bleach with water and then rinse and rinse and rinse!

Wet towel, or something similar depending on size of container, with some water and detergent in the container, and shake/slosh it around. The towel should help rub off the dirt.

I find denture cleaner really good picked up that tip of 10 top camping tips on the telly! I use hot water.
