Water water hopefully not everywhere

What do you do regarding water buckets in a stable? As in big trugs or those flat sided buckets, are they attached to the wall? Looking to see what might work best

I don’t have a water supply for auto-waterers (but the tap is only 10 metres away and I have a long hose so not worried there)

Auto drinker is the ideal, or if that's frozen a big plastic trug weighted with bricks and put in a tyre... otherwise the second I put him in there he will pick up the bucket by the handle and throw it.

The shetlands just have a trug, but the cob who likes to use his as a pillow has one of these on the wall.

I have a large trug. As my horse is a serial knocking over the trug/buckets I have clipped them to the wall which is working well.

I use 2 x medium size trugs (I think they are 26l each). I prefer these to one bigger one as pony has been known to poo in one occasionally and can at least drink out the other.

It also even outs the load when carrying them

With the amount of wet bedding I take out the middle daily, plenty enough! With one that isn't a reliable drinker though it's not great I agree

Yes exactly and I’m happy to keep it low tech as the tap doesn’t freeze and the hose pipe is already in place.

Luckily we have a good few tyres hiding in the shed for extra security.

Yes definitely (especially if the horse is shod)
