Spring has finally sprung and we're very much enjoying the sunshine!
But i just wondered how everyone keeps their surface watered during the summer. Our surface was put in last September which is sand and rubber. The sand was BONE DRY when it was put in and has ridden very deep in places over winter and now with no rain for over a week its starting to ride very deep and after lunging one horse (moving them up and down the arena) its so churned it needs raking before riding any others. The sand on the top 2 inches is bone dry again and i think this is what is causing the issues.
Sooo i just wondered how you all keep them riding nice over the dryer spells. I have tried a sprinkler but it just takes forever to get round every section.
i have read about some people using like a spray system along each side.
Any info would be great TIA x
