Waterproof coat for use with harness - recommendations please!

I'm looking for a waterproof dog coat that we could use with a harness as our poor new rescue dog wasn't impressed at being walked in the pouring rain this morning!

Ideally, as he's mainly black, I'd like it to have some form of reflective or high viz detail on it but its not essential as I could swap our lead for a high viz lead or add a light to the coat.

We use any ordinary waterproof coats that fit the dogs'shape and put the harnesses over them.

One of my favorite dog coat makers are hurrta dog coats
I use my own Home made dog coats ,however ,as I am a keen sewer...i buy rubberized plastic and line with MerlinO wool...
on my little dog ,who wears a harness ,I put a headlight from decathlon,to flash her presence.
ive used gillrugs coats in the past and they have lasted for twenty years with various dog...great value.

I keep a spare harness which it just a few mm more let out and pop it over the coat.

Fuzzy I buy shopping bags and cut them to use as rubberized colorful,really waterproof outers ...then line with Merlino wool..then edge with a cotton Finish edging..
so many wild designs this way..

I cannot even decently sew a button on, I have a long haired Fuzzy so no need to plait.
I'm one of those who ends up spending shekels, I'm afraid ?

Hurtta, non stop dog wear or chilly dogs if you want properly waterproof. Equifleece if you want water resistant.

My pair have from dog coats direct (they're made to measure) and you can request a harness hole.

Does your lovely dog hold an opinion on wearing a coat covered in cats?

Meggy..lol..I use these new colorful coats a lot in the market and people get a smile from them..at the beginning I stuck with the usual colours ( below) which were a bit dull,but these New designs are from shopping bags .they are wild fantasy designs and fully rubberized that I’ve been able to let my ideas run a bit wild. I love cats but can’t keep one( allergic) so this is my concession.

these are the first generation..the patterns come after..many of these coats are now donated to the rescue or I like to give them to the old folk who can’t afford a coat for their usually small dogs..then I can make more ..whoohoo.

Will have to see what shipping costs are to Bologna...... DH gets big parcels from there every so often...
