Someone recommended a champion ascot which I found for £32.95 on offer at new forest clothing . They are fantastic. I was out in mine for 8 hrs solid in the rain and stayed completely dry. I definitely won’t be getting the expensive type now.

They are not very warm tbh I put a fleece underneath and was ok. They come up quite big I got 16 and have loads of room and usually have 16/18 coats .

I have one, had it for years , it makes the water run down your butt and back of your legs while on a saddle, hence why i got an equidry, but to and from the field I cant fault it at all

See if you are riding in it, best thing to do is put a poncho overtop, it stops water drizzling down legs etc I bought a cheap poncho from decathlon and it half covers the horse ? happy days

I have one for yard work for wet but not very cold days. But the material isn't very breathable so I don't think it's really suited to athletic riding. I sweat way too much in it to ride in it

I'm still using my very antiquated Barbour stockman's coat. A bit cumbersome but warm and waterproof however vile the weather.
