Can anyone recommend a good one that is actually waterproof and the filling wont either go lumpy or flat within a year? I was looking at Tuffies but they are a bit pricey although worth it if they do what they say and last a few years...

I have a tuffies and its great-dogs love it. I also have memory foam cutoffs with good waterproof covers that they then have vet bed on in the van-usually work out about £40 for a decent sized bed for a lab sized dog.

I got a toughies which my dogs did not like at all because of the feel of the cover. Put a fleece cover over it and now they use it quite a bit.
What about one of these raised beds, hik9 or similar?

I have a Tuffie waterproof mattress bed and it does the job and is tough and durable. However, two minor niggles for me:

1. The filling is VERY firm and my dogs don't seem to find it particularly comfortable
2. I choose the Fluffie Tuffie Cover for mine and this was a mistake! The fluff is a really deep pile and seems to attract every single bit of dust and debris and never looks clean even the day after washing and brushing because the fluff sort of mats and traps the debris within it. I am probably going to give up on that cover and make one myself out of normal fleece fabric which should be easier to care for.

If I am looking for similar again, I would not get a Tuffie - the main attraction for me is the waterproof cover and there are other companies making waterproof beds with softer fillings for less money.
