Waterproof fly rug for PRE

Kind of the opposite of Tigertail's post.

Hermosa, a very baroque PRE with a lot of neck and shoulders, currently has a Rambo summer sheet but I am not wild about the fit this year. Seems tight around the shoulders.

I like having a waterproof fly rug in my arsenal. Any recommendations?

Yeah, I was looking at them. My old Shire-TB cross wore Swish rugs.

I have a premier equine one that is too skinny in the neck for my Irish sport horse so I would avoid that for a PRE!

Shires Tempest or the Masta seem to fit big shoulders well. I have the tempest on my big shouldered B, friend swears by the Masta on hers.

My Appy (part bred draft) has developed too much shoulder for her Rambo now but I find Swish are ok.

I had the PE one and it was too tight on my IDx shoulders, which is unusual for the pe turnouts .
Swish turnouts are perfect on mine, they also now do a wide fit, i have the standard

Yes the Big Horse Shop broad fit do them. They are a combo though so you cant take the neck off.

Mine have the swish ones. As i wanted thw detachable neck, but his other rugs are big horse shop

I need a detacheable neck or no neck. She has a beautiful mane that I don't want rubbed, and I think it must be very warm for a horse with a thick mane to have a neck cover.

Swish have detachable necks. We have a waterproof fly rug and a regular fly rug and they are fabulous rugs. Ripstop material too so it doesn’t matter if they get snagged and the fabric reflects sunlight so good in hot weather. We take the necks off ours x

Good quality material, terrible design.
