I have premier equine stay dry and the bucas buzz off rain sheet. The latter comes up snug on my welsh. Both do the job when is sunshine & showers. Useful when you want to have a dry horse to ride and too warm for no fill turnout. Lol at heymitch post, mine looks like she’s going into battle

I always stick with Horseware. Premier Equine has been hit or miss.

My only gripe with Horseware is the Amigo Evolution. My horse wore his and it was ripped within hours of wearing it. It is so delicate despite being a lot of material. I did a repair of sorts but have been too afraid to put it on him again. So back to the Rambo!

I have found the same with the Bucas Buzz off, couldn't fit it round his belly

I have the Shires highlander which is great. Tough and hard wearing but fairly warm. I use it for wet overnight, rather than sunny showery days.
Also have a PE Superlite which is again a really good rug, cooler so useable on a warm day but they do tear easily and are hard to repair.

I had the shires one which was great for a couple of years but my mare used to moult a bit in summer and the little hairs got clogged in the seams between the waterproof part and the mesh. This caused a bit of a rash along the line of the seam.

We have two of the gallop waterproof fly rugs (bought in UK), I was sceptical at first as theyre a cheaper brand but they have been brilliant and are on their third year and still going very strong.

Avoid the EDT (Eileen Douglas) own brand ones. (Sorry Eileen I usually love your stuff, good value and good products)

I bought one last year and OMG was it an epic fail. Took two days for the one not wearing it to rip the tail flap off and half remove the neck cover. I repaired the rug and it sat unused for most of the rest of the summer, first time back on, he rolled, stood on the back as he got up, ripped off the binding, broke the surcingles, the breast fastenings (non adjustable) gave up the ghost and he ended up galloping around wearing the whole sorry mess like an oversized baby bib. Fortunately it ripped away rather than bringing him down.

My that really is an epic fail. I will definitely stay away from them.
