Waterproof hat covers. Why?

rather bored and been mooching around on websites and for ome reason started looking at hat covers for jockey skulls. Now call me a little dull but why do you need a waterproof cover on a jockey skull? Its not like any rain is going to soak into the hat without a waterproof cover? Or am i just being a bit twp?

no idea. maybe people with vented skulls think it's going to leak through? i have a vented hat and have never had a wet head, even in the worst rain. the things people come up with...

They look like condoms as well, especially the ornelli ones!! Good old wooly hat on a skull cap is the best, stops the rain running down your neck!
