Any recommendations of a waterproof hat for someone with long hair who wants to put the plait inside the hat to keep dry?? caps are ok but cannot get all my hair under it.

tia

I got a waterproof wooly bobble hat from Amazon. It's great. The wool outer still gets wet as the 'waterproofness' comes from an internal membrane / liner, but I can stuff my hair up inside it and it just feels like a nice warm, wooly hat.

Barmah unisex brown bronco hat in bovine leather, I and dd both have one about 15 years old still super condition despite excessive use during winter, totally waterproof and much use in summer to keep the sun out of your eyes and of the back of your neck, not cheap but quality never is. They squash up and fit into a little bag that is supplied with it and fit into a coat pocket. Have a look on Amazon.

I bought a leather wide brimmed hat it looks a bit like a cowboy hat, I just spray it with waterproof spray and it's brilliant, it was about £15 on ebay it was a bit big for me so I stuck that foam stuff around the edge so it's fits snug now as I have a tiny head, I would imagine there is plenty of room for hair in it.

I have the musto one, like HollyWoozle's, but in black. I got it following a recommendation on here. I tie my hair up on top of my head usually and there's plenty of room. It's completely waterproof, windproof, keeps the ears warm, rain out of the eyes and has a cord so it doesn't blow off. It's not very flattering but I haven't found a hat that looks good on me yet (maybe it's my face that's the problem ..? )

I have one and I love it but can't wear it if windy as it blows off. How do you keep yours attached to your head.

You can buy hat minimising foam that you put inside the rim so it is tight on your head, that's what I did as it was too big for me anyway, it doesn't budge now even on the windiest days.

Mine fits tight now but if the wind gets to it it's away. I'm fed up about it as I love the hat for all sorts of reasons.
