Since moving my retired horse to a different place away from home I'm looking for a large box that I can leave outside and keep a few essentials in. Juts thinking a spare rug or two incase i get there and ones ripped or just soaked. A few brushes, head collar and a small first aid kit (any thing else?)

I don't want to spend a lot. Looked on Amazon at the big rectangle type and see some say waterproof some don't. Is it a safe bet that even classed as garden or outdoor storage if they don't actually say "waterproof" they probably aren't?

Any reco's?

what about something like this? Outdoor storage but still isn't saying waterproof

I have these for rugs and travel stuff storage. As the lid has a lip over the top of the box I'd say it was waterproof enough for what you need. You can get a fair amount in the big ones too. Check the clips on the lids when you get them as one of mine is a bit temperamental (especially if I've over filled it).

Yep, we use the black ones, like the one posted above, next to all the horses' fields. They hold headcollars, rugs, fly repellant, etc., and they don't leak. I'd never come across this before but its been a complete game changer. No more soggy headcollars and lead ropes.

Thanks all. I’d been looking at the bigger ones but most seem to come flat packed so I was very dubious as to how they were waterproof.
This kind looks much better so am going to go with that link of thing instead.

I would think these are waterproof -they defintely hold water as I use the big ones for soaking nets . The lid sits over the outside and the clips are decent to hold it on .
