I bought some new Ariat Windermere H20 boot about a year ago as they are suppose to be waterproof and they were not to long on me like most other boots. It turns out they are not totally waterproof, walking in puddles or muddy areas my feet are getting a bit wet. I'm looking for some similar boots that will last longer and be more waterproof but also short enough and good for riding and yard work, don't care how much they are as long as they last and are good for what I want. Any suggestions? I'm 5foot 1 and have thick calves.

The problem with country type boots that are suitable for yard work and riding, is that they really aren’t built to be going through mud regularly. Also, horse urine ruins leather and stitching. You’re better off getting a decent pair of yard boots/galoshes/wellies, and having a separate pair for riding. Can’t help with the brand for height though, I have long legs ?
