I have a 32 year old TB x cob, who has to live out 24/7 or else she stiffens up. She is in absolutely amazing condition currently but just lately every time it rains she ends up shivering even when it’s warm out, she just can’t handle being wet anymore. I have a no fill waterproof turnout rug but she will sweat in that if she has that on and it stops raining, then I’ve several fly rugs but I’m thinking I now need either a waterproof fly rug or a waterproof summer sheet. Any recommendations as lots I’ve looked at aren’t actually waterproof. Only real Requirements are It must be cool but keep her dry.

I've used both the mark todd fly rug ( brown one with velcro on belly band) and the aussie all rounder. Advertised as showerproof but they are nearly waterproof, and dry really quickly.

If you go for a waterproof fly rug our local Moles has the PE Buster rugs at half price at the moment!
Oh really? That's interesting. I really like the PE ones. One of my horses has one and it way more waterproof and lighter than the shires or Rambo Summer series are. I'd definitely recommend that!
