Are there such things? Ones that are really safe for turnout. Weatherbeeta, years ago, did a waterproof turnout hood/face covering thingy!! Haven't seen one for years so guessing they weren't great? My tb absolutely hates the rain on his face and ears. He doesn't have any shelter in his field. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you. Lively hoods say they are more for the native type than the tb. I'm pretty sure I contacted snuggy hoods about it before and there was nothing suitable but I will check again.

Snuggy hoods to a turnout hood I use the headless zip on type as I often leave mine out overnight and worry about using the full face version incase it slips.

I have left mine on in the worst of weather and they never soak through and are machine washable use lots of softner to help with waterproofing.

I need something to cover his face but that's no worry as well!! Think I will just leave his fly mask on!!

They do the full face turnout hoods or you can buy the one I have and buy the detachable face cover, I know lots of people that use them without any problems but there horses only go out during the day in winter.

Because mine do go out overnight sometimes I just prefer not to it's a personal choice thing.

Oooo thank you!! Will look again. Mine only go out during the day in winter. I used a face cover/ hood on my old lad and he got it over his eyes and stood in one place for most of the day!! The person that saw him could have sorted it, but no! So I don't want to rusk it with the tb. The old weatherbeeta ones were padded like the rugs and a lot more substantial.

Thats why I don't use the head cover both mine would freak out if they went over the eyes.

Snuggy often have a really good sale or if your not sure about them I've bought on Ebay second hand before and they sell pretty easy as well if it's not what you want.
