Watt Meadow Farm-Wolverhampton, for BD-anyone been?

Yes it's not to far away from me, surfaces are good.

However one of the arena's is right next to the road so if you have a spooky horse it can be a bit pot luck.
The road is a major A road so is very busy. But other than that it's a really lovely venue & normally quiet.

I've had issues with that road and the car boot going on the other side of the road = muchos napping and x 3 flying changes in a novice test, but still managed to win as he was that razzed up by it all he looked and felt amazing, ha!

PS - just standard sand/rubber mix in the test arena, warm up is usually in the outdoor which is sand and is a square arena. It's usually quiet there so plenty of space.
I'm thinking of taking Orvis there on that Monday so may see you if you do go!

Yes, the owners seem lovely people, very welcoming.

Two warm ups: one outdoor, one indoor. When I went the indoor looked too deep and the outdoor was partly flooded but this may be a rain/winter problem. The outdoor surface was good, but separated from the A road by a hedgerow fence so a lot of noice and the other side of the hedgerow was a car boot sale. Comparatively to other venues I would rate it as very spooky as there is a lot to see/hear, but then again it depends on the horse and how they tend to react to things.

im going on bank hol mon so prob no car boot????
road wont bother him, moulton warm up is right next to busy road and he never blinks.

thank you, all info appreciated :)

think im going to give it a shot as struggling for anything closer before end of month!!!

The one warmup at Watt Meadow is quite tiny, which is fine if your horse is brave but Dela has a fear of other horses being close to her, so we don't go there really.

Marchington has 2 mediums next sunday, its 61 and 73 :)

literally just down road from me - warm up is small - arenas are ok to ride on and well kept - there will def be car boot sale on as its bank holiday - and last time there was a circus with camels next door when my friend did unaff there!!!

hmmmm, chance of another circus must be slim surely?!

think car boot/road will be ok as people dont bother him, music from a circus could be an issue though!

fingers crossed for no circus please!!!!!
