Are they dangerous around horses? If there cheap I may buy one, But surely they may flap when riding/working around horses, so this surely is a hazzard can anyone help me with my desicion? (Sp)

A bit strange at first but pony didn't seem to notice.

I had to undo the leg strap to tighten up girth - unless that's just me

I used to hunt in mine when it was really wet. They are not that warm so you may need to get one big enough to wear a fleece jacket or padded waistcoat underneath. I find I have to undo the leg straps to get on and off. My spooky horse doesn't mind it.
 
I have one - it lives on the peg in the tack room, they aren't warm, they aren't especailly comfortable - the only thing they are good for is keeping the rain off.

they don't flap if you use the leg straps, I used to ride out in mine before I discovered neprene chaps
