Hes typical of a grossly over paid footballer but then the FA dont give a toss aslong as he keeps scoring goals.
Premiership footballers - vile.
Hmm I didn't expect any other attitude on this forum TBH. Slate me if you want!
If I were him I would be no longer offering my services to the England (FA run) football team.
Whether or not you agree with the ban, anyone thinking he is the only swearing footballer/fan, has never been to a football match or played the game. Or may be living in a cloud cuckoo land - and don't tell me rugby players or any other sport for that matter, players don;t swear, as I distinctly remember a knighted rower, after an Olympic FInal, swearing into a camera on LIVE TV and that was on the BBC!
IF (and I say IF) every other player were treated the same then fair enough. But a Chelsea player had to be restrained from attacking a fan in the crowd (but still gave them a similar tirade of abuse)...their ban ? NOTHING.
Equal treatment and FAIR treatment - doesn't exist in the FA's world.
I'll get me coat.

He seems to like proving he's as common as he looks.
What did he say?
"FFFFin get in you beauty!"
And then (when the cameraman shoved the camera in his face ON the pitch" and possibly also said something to him:
"FFF off"
OMG, now you're gonna get me started! I have some experience of dealing with footballers and club officials (managers, etc) from amateur to professional level having been a referee for about 20 years before I suddenly realised what a bunch of ***'s they are and now I have absolutely no interest in the game.
They are, in general, paid too much, have no perspective on how the real world works because of that, think that everyone should be in awe of them and kiss-their-feet wherever they goand that they know best about everything, Rooney is one of the worst, and it starts from a fairly low level in the game too!
When I had an international player screaming and swearing in my face from a few inches about a penalty decision I'd made he was stunned when I told him to '**** off!' Don't think he was expecting that.....
Ummmmm, Im a united fan and don't want him banned for 3 games thanks very much!!!
I think people are failing to take into account that it wasn't aggression or anger, it was the adrenaline of scoring the hattrick that put his team in front after being 2-0 down!!!!!! How many of you actually watched the game, not just the clip? I can tell you my language was not great at all during the first half!!!!!!! I think you are taking it out of context a bit!
Massive overreaction to not take a kid to a united game now because of this!!! Errrrr, have you actually heard the language in the crowds? And the chanting??!!! Plus you can clearly lip read what footballers are saying on the pitch - Craig Bellamy in the England Wales game did not say a non naughty word for the entire game I'm sure!
At the end of the day I agree it was wrong that he did it INTO the camera, but it was in the heat of the moment and not done through anger and aggression as people seem to be saying! Yes, I can appreciate not nice for your children to hear but IMO they should know what a 'naughty word' is and that they shouldnt use it themselves. I think the FA are making an example of Rooney because of his high profile and this would not have had the same reaction had it been any other player.
Yes he is a bit of a tit, there's no denying that, but he apologised, and IMO this has been massively blown out of proportion (but then as a utd fan perhaps I am somewhat biased)
