As for saying he looks like a thug, well, I can't speak for anyone else but I only meant his behaviour on the pitch suggests that at times. But he's not alone - there are lots of players whose behaviour leaves a lot to be desired. Joey Barton springs to mind and there are plenty of others.

It is a potent mixture: youth, adulation and lots and lots of money....it's not surprising that some footballers go way over the top.
 
I know lots of people swear like troopers but what these overpaid primadonnas (I have probably offended someone already) forget is that young people idolise these footballers and and think "if it is ok for ................ to swear and abuse people then it is obviously the kool thing to so"some of the kids do not have positive role models in their lives. Personally I can't stand football and am amazed at how many Police man hours is wasted controlling the minorit jf thuggish element who wreck it for the genuine fans:eek:
 
I can swear with the best of them but if I had to do it in the course of my job, I would not have a job. Sorry, but regardless of his looks, it was not a pretty picture and certainly not appropriate, considering the fact the the FA is trying to tackle the embarrassing behaviour of some fans. Is this really how we would wish the sport to be portrayed and the example for the impressionable to follow?
 
Glad he's lost his appeal, he needs to grow some ba**s and show some respect for others instead of being a lousy lout; so many youngsters look up to him, it was no example to set them and hopefully his penalty will show them rudeness doesn't pay.
