My boy loves his work, and seeing as he's apparently broken (am waiting for second opinion from another vet) he can't be ridden. I'm still up there everyday but my god is he full of beans! He's a big 16.3hh so it's not much fun.

He's currently sound and on field rest, coming in if there's bad weather

I want to think of games or things that will keep him amused during the day. Any idea?

So far am thinking:

Apples in water trough
Horseball in field

He's in his own field, so won't affect other liveries.

TIA for any ideas.

My mare loves her snak-a-ball. I fill it with Hi Fibre pellets so she doesn't get a lot of calories out of it but it keeps her occupied literally for hours.

only if the field is over grazed or porr..why not put in a small/over filled little hay net for him to play...pic at through out the day? works for me...but he might not be suitable for it..if the field is lush or if he is over/underweight....just a thought!

....balls, licks......a mirror?.....radio in stable?

If our horses are anything to go buy, borrow a bl**dy goat and stick it in the field with your broken ned. His eyes will explode out of his head and he will spend all day trying to keep as far away from it as possible. His days will fly by! Four of the little bleeders got into our field a while back and about 8 massive neds were reduced to quivering hamsters over it! What is it with goats? I try to tell my boy they are just sheep with attitude and horns for god's sake!
