Ways to mount a horse bareback

What an agile rider! I once tried to leapfrog on a pony from behind (in my youth) - he was not impressed!
 
That's actually pretty cool! I'd love to be able to do the second one, from the front. That's pretty impressive! But my boy's far to big to vault onto and he'd probably leap out the way, just for a laugh! I have leapfrogged off him before tho...

I'd be happy to mount easily with a saddle, let alone vaulting on!

There's a few pony club games riders at the yard I'm at - they vault straight on to their ponies while I'm scrabbling to get on my 14.1hh coblet from a mounting block, so embarrassing!!!

I know the feeling - my Moose is 16.3hh, so I have a BIT of an excuse, but I can't even get on from the little green plastic mounting block, i have to use a chair ! One of the other girls on the yard has a horse the same size, and she just hops on him from the ground....but then she has legs up to her ears and is really tall.
 
I used to vault onto my 13.2hh section c from a running jump when I was younger! He was really good and let me ride him in from the field without his headcollar! Although sometimes he would drop his offside shoulder so I would slip straight off the other side! He was a cheeky old man!
 
More like fantastic. Amazing how she did that and on such a tall horse. Gorgeous looking horse and what a temperament to match. I am in awe......
 
That horse looks massive with no tack on!! I don't like the look of Parelli myself - I think the previous owners of my Haffy tried it on her and she is now petrified of whips.
 
i dont see whats so fantastic about it TBH, a lot of horses i know if you land on there necks will put there heads up and dump you back in the saddle, i do know the odd one or two which will stick there heads down and dump you on the floor though

Wow, thats brill!! I've tried to do the 2nd Way on May, lots, but can't do it!! I can do the traditional way while stood on a small rock in the field - was quite impressed with myself
