Just wondering what bits you ride your WB's in??

Micah is in a single joint rubber snaffle atm, as he doesn't seem keen on metal. He was going really well in it. However as he is building up topline and muscle he is getting just a little strong especially when jumping for my arthritic limbs. Trouble is when he gets over excited he can go from over bending to throwing his head up and trying to run off

He is very sensitive and I wouldn't want to put anything too strong as he is likely to rear.

Was thinking of a hanging cheek french link happy mouth, but I can't find anyone to borrow any sort of FL off and they are expensive to buy just to try. So I thought I'd see what you all use

Full cheek French Link, although he can get a bit strong when cantering out in company or jumping, but usually hack out on my own so I've never really had to change it.
As for the jumping, well sometimes he's strong, other times he's ok so I think its more of schooling issue.

I'm slightly temped to try out the NS Universal if I take him jumping again this year.

I have my gelding in a full cheek myler comfort snaffle, he is really sensitive in the mouth and he seems to go ok in this bit but I am considering trying a loose ring french link happy mouth or something similar as some people have mentioned the independent action of the myler could be a little fussy.

this is really useful thanks. A friend who backs horses just told me she has loads of small bits I can go and borrow so will get all she has and come back and see what you all use and start the hunt lol

delicia is in a simple french link egg butt snaffle for schooling etc. She also has a double bridle consisting of a german silver low port fixed cheek weymouth and a loose ring bridoon.

For showing and fast work she has a cambridge ported pelham.
