Our little pup is coming to our house next week and i cannot wait however ive not had a pup for 9 years can someone just remind me how often to feed him thinking back i used to feed 4 small meals then down to 3 at 12 weeks then 2. Does this sound about right ?? i used to give weetabix on a morning, then abit of scrambled egg then puppy food, what would you give him and how often?? he will be only 6 weeks and i know he should be 8 weeks but he is doing abit too well and is not really bothered about mum. Thanks xx

Six weeks is awfully early

You may end up with a rather 'bitey' -or worse- 'fighty' pup because they haven't had the chance to rough-play with Mum and siblings and learn 'bite inhibition' and how to read "back off" signals... I guess that is between you and the breeders though?

4 feeds sounds about right, although I only fed ours puppy feed (Pro Plan puppy) as it came with her and I don't know about the nutritional value of weetabix for dogs?

Sorry this all sounds a bit negative- you must be reeeeeally excitied

Agree it is early but if your vet is happy then who am I to judge?

Yes, smal feeds several times a day down to two or even one.
The breeder can advise what they think is best, or eve the vet.

You sound like you are going to have a ballsy wee chap on your hands
