Oh Yipee Yipee Happy Clappy!!
I cant believe I ever gave up horseriding. Yesterday I took Charlie the Wonder horse out on his first fun ride (sorry no jumping photos).

So Saturday I spent the afternoon with him getting him used to my big travel boots. He was groomed in them ran away from them had a hay net in them and then spent half an hour in his stable with his tea in them.

Overnight I made him go out in a turnout to keep him dry and mud free.

First time in my friends lorry and first time with her lad he loaded like a pro.

Being held by a truly great friend who drove over to give us a hand just in case. We are stable neighbours.

Just before we set off. For breed freaks Charlie is Irish cob cross Labrador :D and his handsome Skewbald pal is A suffolk Punch cross.

Washed down after the ride chillin with some grass.

.

He was a little bit excited but very well behaved. Early on he just chased after his companion swerving round his fences. Then we cottoned on to the fact he needed to go into them in a very steady trot and he was fine.
We only did the small fences as it was our first time out together.

So it was a lovely day the only black mark he receives is ........he stole my banana.

There I was bottle of Ribena and my lunch banana bit the top off put it down while I got his travel boots and next thing I looked around and there he was grinning from ear to ear with banana skin and all being munched noisily and sticking out of the sides of his mouth.

No jumping piccies as the photographer was near the end he was tired and the fences were bigger and spookier and it seemed silly to spoil a nice day by doing one too many.

FANTASTIC! Well done all of you!

"Truly great friend" I have one of those who I treasure and try to be as equally good friend in return :D

sounds like a fab day :D Your horse is beautiful :) And well done for not pushing him just for a photo, it can be tempting sometimes to go a step too far when their tired

I had to laugh at the banana Lol, naughty pony! :)

That looked like an utterly fab day, love the grin on your face. And Charlie's just beautiful, like his coloured pal too. We can forgive him the banana saga...:)
