Firstly, I didn't get to do it with my friend, as her horse bucked her off onto the road before we'd even set off. I felt so bad for her! Thankfully I had Man to drive her around, she went to A&E and was ok, just a bit sore. Also thankfully, a friend of my friend was going to come with us, so I ended up going with her and her little cobby! I did try and insist that I was staying with my friend, but she wasn't having any of it.
SO! On to my adventures
The ride over went without a hitch, Ned was amazing all the way, including through the centre of Milton Keynes!
I arrived at my friends field, untacked and let Ned go. Her horses and Ned were separated...until Ned jumped the electric fence!! I nearly had a heart attack! I was expecting fireworks, but they just trotted around with each other!
Later we went for a short ride with friend (who was bucked off the next day) and other friend (who came with me) and all 3 were fab
Said my goodbyes to Ned and went to friend1's house.
Got up at 6am to get the horses ready and was ready for 8, however that's when the incident happened
Arrived at the event with friend2 at 9:30am having hacked up there.
And we were off!!
Ned was extremely excited, especially having to wait while other horses set off in front of him! He cantered sideways for a short while, before realising that it wasn't actually getting him anywhere.
Eventually we ended up latching on to two lovely ladies - 20 and 21 (Sorry, I didn't catch your names!), if you're out there, THANK YOU!!!! You were such a big help, even if we did get lost
your horses were absolutely gorgeous and so well behaved!
The ride was a complete success, for both me and friend2, since it was a first for both of us and both our horses!
Now for a couple of pictures
I will upload a mass batch and make a new thread in the photo section tomorrow
On the way!
