on a real high this morning - cantered pony a complete circiut of school on left rein without her veering sharply to the left - in fact she stayed right on the outside quite happily - its the frist time since i got her at the end of July last year that i have been able to do this - it makes it all worth while - we ve just been taking small steps at a time - sorry it probably seems such a silly thing to all you fab riders/ horses but im on cloud nine - thought i d share it with you all!!!

she was really really unbalanced when she came so been slowly schooling/ lunging (shed never done any schooling in her life) did lots of leg yielding to the left, never to the right also circles and serpentines, got her cantering out in straight lines for quite long periods as well. Then did lunging normaly on her good rein but on a huge circle on her bad one, when she could do it ok i put loose side reins on until she could balance herself on them - BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT AND IMPRESSIVE THING I DID WAS HAVE A BOWEN BACK LADY IN - SHE HAD HAD A FROZEN SHOULDER MOST OF HER LIFE (BEEN A BROOD MARE SO NO ONE KNEW) - 3 TREATMENTS LATER AND WE VE ACHEIVED ALL THIS i cant recomend it highly enough!

Thanks for that. Will investigate as my horse is very one-sided. Vet can't find anything wrong but maybe a specialist will. You must be really pleased with your mare's progress and I bet she feels a lot better for the treatment as well.

Its a shame you are so far away - dont know any one in your area - but have a look on web - cost me £100 for 3 sessions but you may only need 2 - my mare was very one sided like yours - still is really but this has helped her - another thing to mention is i keep my left leg on and outside rein - although it stopes her veering left she is badly bent to the right!!! But thats another problem that i ll have to try to sort in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!
