Sorry bit of a pointless post but finally used my horsebox and thanks for all your advice given the other night.
Quick recap, great traveller in a wagon until I travelled him in a trailer and he freaked. Now 2 yrs later he is a wreck in a wagon too.
It took us over an hour to load my horse tonight. He didnt seem scared, just bloody minded, kicking out and being an evil so an so. We finally got him in and after all the fuss (I wanted to give up, hate travelling) he stood quite calmly on the wagon so we took him for a drive. I didnt go with him as I am a wreck so hubby drove with two experienced friends, who got him in the wagon. They took him out for about 30 mins, which was the longest 30 mins ever!! and came back all smiles. Yes the steam emerged as we opened the ramp but he walked calmly off, in one piece and they said they didnt hear him at all.
So we have to do it again now as often as possible.
Feel one step nearer to actually getting out there and competing, having some fun etc.
