Our longest solo hack to date! We've never been on this route alone, not even in-hand, so it was a big test.

He was a bit of a pig to get out of the yard when I was on, but it wasn't anything that a growl couldn't sort.
He did try and turn for home once, a dog charged at the gate barking and he spooked. He didn't try and run, he just tried to spin. I counteracted it and got him going again.
Plenty of trotting and we even had 3 quite long canters :D
Had one more spook at a terrifying sign post hiding in the long grass.
Headed down quite a busy road, buses, lorries and bikes were whizzing past and he was fine!!
The real test was still to come!

Horses thundering up and down, neighing in a field one side and heavy building works the other. I stayed calm and kept him going. He had a look and neighed back at the horses, but didn't try and join in and wasn't even bothered by the builders!

He was such a good boy, I'm so proud!!

Know what you mean..I'm sharing a "work in progress" chap. Some days he's good some days he's not so good..:) so nice when it starts to go right.
