We had a foalie at the yard last night...
I went and saw the mare as i left from riding last evening, and I just knew she'd foal. No idea really how i did know as i didn't even look at her teats or back end, nor have i ever been around mares / foals... Must be the Irish in me LOL!!!
Got down there this morning and there is the cutest little filly foal. Mare is grey and foal is a kind of liver chestnut with a blaze and white sock. however, like Tia's foal, she's grey at hte muzzle and mum is grey.
She's a TB foal by the sire Erhab (sp) - who won some good races here in the UK apparently, and then latterly in Japan. I am not up on sires of any sort, but she's a very cute foal. didn't have my camera today, but will try and get some pics tomorrow....
Needless to say, i was tiny bit late for work as I couldn't leave!
