So today there was a shoot here. I’m totally and completely un-interested in shooting. It was beaters day so nothing special and a little more laid back. OH who is very pleased with his not really trained lab wanted me to come along and just watch him pick up on one drive and I think every opportunity is educational for the small
One so I packed Cecil into the gaiter thingy and off we set.
We ended up out most of the day. Cecil just had his very best day ever. Super proud of him. Mixing perfectly with lots and lots of dogs. Obviously he didn’t do anything but tagged along excitedly with Spud our lab, his best buddy while he retrieved.
At one point I was totally thrown in at the deep and and told to cover an area behind a few guns by myself (with out OH telling Spud what to do)
He retrieved 3 for me! I had no idea what I was doing so did the “find it” game and he was off!
So thrilled with the two of them!
Cec rather f’d up at one point by taking off into the distance after a hare ? he did come back though and he chose his moment very well so it didn’t cause problems!
