Some of you may recall me posting about the misery of my livery yard.
Well we moved on Friday and it's one of the best decisions I've made!
My nervous horse was a bit nervous on the first day but is now settled and happy!
He has a friend next door that he can actually touch (no access to other horses at the old yard ), he goes out every day and the YO provides care as per my wishes, not based on what she thinks is best !
My horse's so-called issues caused by the old yard (tricky to turn out , difficult to catch ) have disappeared in these few days , he's good as gold and causes no problems.

Anyone thinking of moving - just do it!
I've been so stressed and tired that I've been having palpitations- the past few nights I've slept better than I have in ages !

That's great news.

It's interesting that you say your horse has a friend he can touch and his behavious has improved. I watched this webinar recently and the key take away point for me was horses being able to touch other horses. Definitely something to consider if planning a stable block.

Excellent news, and isn't it amazing how much and how quickly your nervous horse is now settling down into a not so nervous horse. I bet he is also picking up on your happier demeanour too. :)
Yes he is. And he's generally brighter, more interested in whats going on ,.and surprisingly taking things like a noisy child and his toys in his stride.
And his so-called issues when turning him out and then not being caught have disappeared. All he needed was routine and for people to be nice to him, basically.
