Sorry pointless post but really happy with the pony he has learnt rein back it took him a while but he now goes back only a step or two but I'm really proud of him so had to share cos none of my family are horsey so dont get the achievment love the little man. He got quite confused when I put my legs back and tried to walk forwards but with help from the ground he went and now goes without a person pushing him

Foxy got this todays as well and turning on the forehand. Its a great sense of acheivment isn't it ? I taught both of them on the ground originally using my hands where my feet would be, along with verbal cues and it definatly made it easier when he was under saddle

yes it is a great sense of achievment when they learn something new. we already have turn on the forehand did that a little while ago. yes we did the same instructor pushed him back with me just sitting there and then slowly introduced the aids he just got confused when I put a little bit of leg on leg=forward no matter where it is
