In the early hours of this morning Sylvester, our wonderfull little black shetland, lost his fight against grass sickness.
This was the second time this poor little man has had to battle this silent killer, but this time he couldn't pull through.
He was such a sweet pony, had no idea he was only 10hh and ruled his field well.
Can I just wallow in the sweetest memory of my then eight year old daughter bathing and scrubbing and plaiting for ages to then go out and show all the sniggering pony clubbers just how to do a tack and turn out as well as a very clever handy pony. He gleamed that day and trotted around full of himself, Sylvester was a star, we shall all miss him very much.
