and i am pleased to say kizzy was the epitome of politeness, as was the chap walking it

however we did meet a labx which she took a dislike to but she was on her lead (done as soon as i saw the couple who were walking it and the dog appear) and made to sit while it got past, except it didnt go past it came waltzing up to her sniffing her and the guy then had a go at me when i shoved it away with my foot even though i had asked him to put it on a lead, i have never been so tempted to stick my foot up someones rear end

one thing I will say though is that I find it easier to keep moving, I apply the same principle to dogs as I do to nappy horses, forwards, forwards, forwards! Keep her occupied, talk to her, keep animated, try to keep her focused on you and if she is fixated, check her with the lead and keep trying (obvs harder if you have two but try your best

I found that making mine sit when another dog passed increased the tension, making a kind of 'Mexican stand-off'.
